Believe and Prosper!

Only Believe

Have you ever received a word from the Lord and waited and waited, while nothing happened? Remember how disappointed you felt? Perhaps you feel that way right now. Well, there is some good news I would like to share with you to help you experience the joy of manifestation, especially if you are believing for a new car today.

In 2 Chronicles 20:20, the scripture says, “And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.”

The first thing you’ve got to do is believe in the Lord and believe His prophets. That means to believe in who He is and in what He can do and believe that He speaks through others on your behalf. If you examine the word “BELIEVE” in this passage. It means to stand firm, to trust, to be certain. If you are not firm on God’s character to keep His word and perform it, you will waver after hearing God’s Word. The only way to have that word established in your life is to become steadfast and unmovable where that word is concerned. You cannot let anyone or anything dissuade you. I know that sounds extreme, but we live in a world that offers many distractions and many forms of escape from reality. To hold on to God’s Word, you will have to be extreme. If my wife and I were not extreme, we would not have our own children today. They are here because we decided that God’s Word rules over ALL!

Secondly, you also need to remain prepared to act on what you believe.

James 2:26 “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works (corresponding action) is dead also.” (emphasis mine).

If you are afraid or embarrassed to act on what God has said, you are not ready to prosper in that Word that was spoken. Many times I have had to act on what God said, even though there were no natural signs that what He said was true. Some of us are waiting for the door to open before we go through it. God is saying, go through the door, act like it’s yours and I’ll open it. That takes faith and steadfastness in what God said.

Listen to this: My first dream car was a 1993 Honda Accord. That year model was a new body style and was really nice. One day I decided it was time to get my car. I had only $100 in the bank and I only brought home $325 per week at that time. There was no natural way for me to afford that car, but it was what I wanted. I had been speaking that I was going to get one off the showroom floor so I went and sat in one in Honda’s showroom. I told the Lord “This is the one!” It was beautiful. It was a color called Seattle Silver. The price tag was $18,900. That was more than what I could pay for on my meager salary and a family of three. I went to see the salesman and put down my $100. From that moment on, God started working. I needed $1,300 down and it came in.

To make a long story short, we got that car for $14,400 and paid $326.00 per month-That was way back in 1993. God has not changed since then. It was no problem for God who said that whatever I put hands on would prosper. I just needed to act on that, and He got the glory. What has God said to you or about you lately? Remember to stand firm and act on it. He will come through every single time no matter what it is!

God’s Best to You!
