Multiply
The word multiply used in Genesis 1:28 means to become great, to become numerous or
many and to become enlarged. God has intended that we would be able to take a desire, idea or direction and become great, especially if itis tied to an act of obedience to something God has specifically told you to do. He wants us to become successful not matter what the obstacles. The Blessing was designed for breakthrough in your life so that no physically limiting
factor would have the final say in your life. Only the Word of God should have
the final say.
The Blessing of Genesis 1:28 is the same Blessing God placed upon the marriage of Abraham and Sarah in Genesis 12, verse 2. The LORD said to Abram:
“I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. (niv)
You might read that and think that God was only talking to Abram, but God saw them as one. He was talking to both of them. In Isaiah 51, verses 1-3, we can see that God saw them as one.
“Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness and who seek the LORD : Look to the rock from which you were cut and to the quarry from which you were hewn; look to Abraham, your father, and to Sarah, who gave you birth. When I called him he was but one (Abram & Sarah), and I blessed him (them) and made him (them) many. The LORD will surely comfort Zion and will look with compassion on all her ruins; he will make her deserts like Eden, her wastelands like the garden of the LORD. Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the sound of singing.
(Niv) paraphrasing mine
Do you think Abram could have had the baby Isaac by himself? Without Sarah, there would have been no Isaac. The Blessing got on Abram and got on Sarah’s and her dead womb and made them both alive with the power to bear fruit. If God is truly speaking to one of you, then He is speaking to both of you in the confines of your marriage. If God blesses one of you, then He is blessing both of you. There is no separation in the operation of the Blessing
of Eden!
Tell each other, the dreams of your house are not dead. Declare the dreams will come to fruition through the Blessing. Come boldly to God’s throne in prayer and receive the activation of the Blessing in your marriage. Stop looking at the circumstances and begin releasing your faith for the Blessing to do its job in your life!
Romans 4, verses 18 through 21
Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. (niv)
God still has the power to do what He has promised in His Word. That power is called The Blessing when it is released in the lives of mankind. God is still in the Blessing business. You need to make a decision now, that you will not live another moment without a working knowledge of God’s Blessing for your life.
Replenish
The word replenish used in Genesis 1:28 means to fill with abundance, accomplishments and satisfaction. God wants your life to be filled with achievements you never could have reached without Him. He wants to activate the blessing of Eden in your life and cause your life to move out of failure and uncertainty into abundance and satisfaction. There is no need for you to continue to lead a life of dissatisfaction. Get into prayer as a couple and allow the Holy Spirit to
minister to your marriage. Invite Him into your affairs and prepare to repent if necessary of any past strife and quarreling in your marriage where your dreams and desires are concerned. Begin to listen to one another and hear what is in each other’s heart. You find the devil departing and the Holy Spirit sweeping in with the Blessing of Eden.
Proverbs 20:3
It is to a man’s honor to avoid strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel.
Proverbs 22:10
Drive out the mocker, and out goes strife; quarrels and insults are ended.
Of course, the opposite of replenished life is to have a life of lack or not enough. Always coming up short or lacking is a curse. It can come in through strive and disagreements.
James 3:16
For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and everyevilwork.. (kjv)
God wants you to have more than enough for every occasion. God is interested in you having earthly blessings too, not just barely getting by. There is nothing spiritual about going without your needs met and your desires coming to pass as well. If fact, that is what suffering is. Too many people are suffering lack and fussing about their life, instead of coming into agreement
and tapping into the power of the Blessing.Paul declared to the Corinthian church what God was willing and able to do about our circumstances in life.
2 Corinthians 9:8
And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation]. (Amplified Bible)
We use the phrase “God is Able” all too often, but do we really believe that God has planned to do whatever it takes to elevate us above the problems. Is that phrase just religious talk or is it the full expression of our faith? God is well able to make good on His promises. He wants to bring each of our households into the fullness of the Blessing we become self-sufficient (perpetually blessed) and having no unmet needs.
