Should Your Barns Be Filled with Plenty?

Deuteronomy 28:11

“And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.” – King James Bible “Authorized Version”, Cambridge Edition

Thinking big can be a challenging endeavor in today’s world, but thinking small can be costly for generations.

No matter what level you are on, the things you use eventually run out or wear out whether food, gas, deodorant, cologne, etc. They eventually have to be replaced. These things that you keep in your cupboards, closets and drawers are a part of what the Word of God refers to as your ‘storehouse’ or your ‘barns’.

I was walking into my bedroom one day and noticed that my favorite cologne was running low. Before I knew it, I said out loud, “they make it , I buy it!” When I said that, the Holy Spirit immediately said to me, “So shall your barns be filled with plenty!” That has been burned into my heart ever since. Now, whenever I have a need, I just meet it with the words of my mouth. If I am running low on food, gas, or whatever, I can speak it met with my mouth. Its not my job to grow the food or ship it to the store. Its not my job to create clothing or refine gasoline. It is not even my job to figure out how to pay for it. Thats God job. Once I have said it in faith, it is His job to meet the need and fill my barns with it. My job is to believe and speak!

Did you know that you can talk to your barns and have a great influence on what winds up being stored in it? Well you already do. When you start to run out of something, most people will say or think, ‘I need this or I need more of that’ usually with consideration as to how the need is going to be met.

You may not have realized that you can talk the Word of God to your barns and fill them up whether you have the means at that moment or not. You can also fill that barn with whatever quality, brand or quantity of product you choose to think and speak!

Jesus said, For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Mark 11:23-24 (kjv)

You may need to get to work believing and speaking about your life. That’s how God created the whole of creation-believing and speaking and He called it WORK! If God works that way,, then we can too. Just decide that you are going to believe the Word and use your mouth to fill your house. If you need a house, then believe God’s Word where housing is concerned and speak that house. When it comes you can give God the glory. If you need to fill it with precious furnishings, then believe God’s Word and furnish it. God will get the glory and you can encourage others with your testimony. Look at this next verse of scripture:

Nehemiah 9:25
And they took strong cities, and a fat land, and possessed houses full of all goods, wells digged, vineyards, and oliveyards, and fruit trees in abundance: so they did eat, and were filled, and became fat, and delighted themselves in thy great goodness.

Part of your prosperity is to have houses full of all kinds of goods. It is part of delighting yourself in God’s goodness. Even in a down economy, you are supposed to have good things. If you decide that good things are not for you, it does not change the Word. The Word never changes!

Stop saying what you can’t afford. Everytime you do that, you release your faith to block provision from manifesting. Stop saying that you are going under and that your situation is hopeless. It may seem or look hopeless, but hope is renewed when you choose to meditate on what is possible instead of meditating on what appears to be impossible.

Have you ever felt down when an opportunity to give rolled around? That’s not supposed to happen. You should be able to give to those in need when their need arises. That can’t happen if you don’t even have enough for yourself. Decide now that your hands will never be empty again, not in giving  or in receiving.

I encourage you to go for it. Roll up your sleeves and take an inventory of your life. Whatever is missing, lost, broken or stolen can be replaced by God’s Word. Place a demand on heaven’s abundant supply. Even new relationships can be formed to make up for the ones that are gone. Make a choice today. Make it every hour if you have to to get yourself on God’s track. Choose to be blessed as you speak God’s Word over your life as a matter of habit!
